Avid connects CRMs, email platforms, ad platforms, donation forms, and file methods under Settings > Connections. Use this catalog to find a platform, see Insights, Pathways, or Playbooks, and open the setup guide.
Use this article when
- You want to know if Avid connects to a system you already use.
- You need to see whether a platform supports Insights, Pathways, or Playbooks.
- You need the setup guide for a connection.
- You do not see your system and need a file, SFTP, or email fallback.

How connections work
Avid connects systems from Settings > Connections.
- Open Settings, then Connections.

Click Add system.
The Add a System modal opens. There is no Systems tab.

Use Search or a filter chip to find the platform.
Chips include All, CRM, Email Marketing, Advertising, Email Capture, Analytics, Donation Forms, and Other.

Select the tile and finish setup.
The connection appears on Connections.
After you connect, status moves from Initializing to Syncing, then Active. You may also see Error or Retrying.
Open the connection to see Overview, Inclusion filters, Column mappings, and Joined data.
Overview shows Your first sync is running until data arrives. Then Inclusion filters and Column mappings unlock.
Pathways-capable tiles also show a Pathways Sync row.
Most API connections sync on a daily schedule. The first sync often takes longer.
Forwarded Email syncs on a monthly schedule. File uploads run when you send the file.
This catalog is a reference. Add a System shows the tiles available to your organization.

What the badges mean
Each tile in Add a System shows capability badges. They describe what Avid can do with that connection.

| Insights | Avid pulls data for dashboards and reporting. |
| Pathways | You can send an audience (a selected group of people) to this connection. |
| Playbooks | This connection works with Playbooks. |
Not every email connection supports Pathways. Only tiles with a Pathways badge do.

CRM systems
A customer relationship management (CRM) system stores donor records. These connections pull donor (constituent) and gift data for Insights.
They do not show Pathways or Playbooks on the tile.
You can still build audiences from that data. Push those audiences to a destination that shows Pathways.
Bloomerang uses an API key and supports Insights only.
After you connect, wait for the first sync. Column mappings unlock after the first data set.

Salesforce has three setup paths.
Use sign-in (OAuth) when you can grant access by logging in.
Use the API-only integration user when you cannot use sign-in.
Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud is a separate tile.
Allegiance CRM and DonorDirect StudioEnterprise often need IT help for a read-only database.
A Playbooks plan hides CRM-only tiles from Add a System.
