When setting up a connection between your system and Avid, we prioritize data privacy, security, and reliability. This article outlines the recommended security practices and IP addresses that should be whitelisted to allow authorized communication between Avid and your system.
Security & Data Privacy
Avid follows industry-leading security protocols to ensure the safety of your data. We are SOC 2 compliant and maintain a secure environment for all data transmissions and integrations. You can view our accreditations and security status anytime at trust.avidai.com.
To further protect sensitive donor and organizational data, we require all connections to use SSL encryption. We do not support unencrypted or open database connections.
Setting Up a Secure Connection
If your system allows IP restrictions or firewall rules, we recommend creating a dedicated, read-only user and allowing access only from Avid’s authorized IP addresses. This adds an additional layer of protection by ensuring that only traffic from our integration service is permitted.
Whitelist Avid’s IP Addresses
Please allow access from the following static IP addresses:
35.184.153.118 35.238.235.148 35.225.16.95 47.190.56.132
Restricting access to these IPs helps prevent unauthorized connections and ensures that only Avid’s integration services can reach your environment.
Testing Your Connection
Before sharing connection details with our team, we recommend verifying the credentials and connection settings on your end using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or another database tool. This helps confirm that the access is configured correctly and that your firewall and network settings are allowing external, encrypted connections.
If you have any questions about this setup or need help verifying the connection, our team is here to assist. Once access is confirmed, we’ll begin syncing your data and ensure everything is mapped correctly within Avid.
