Connect Allegiance CRM to Avid through a secure SQL database connection so constituent and gift data sync for analysis.
Use this article when
- You connect Allegiance CRM to Avid for the first time.
- Your IT team needs to whitelist Avid and grant database read access.
- You update the Allegiance database name in Avid.

Prepare your Allegiance database
- Work with Allegiance support or your DBA to grant Avid read access to your production Allegiance database.
- Create or confirm a dedicated read-only database user for the Avid integration.
- Whitelist Avid IP addresses on your firewall. See Connecting Your System to Avid Securely for the current list:

Test connectivity from outside your network before completing the Avid form.
Connect Allegiance CRM in Avid
- In Avid, go to Settings or the Avid AI Integration Checklist.
- Connect a CRM:
- In the checklist, click CRM, then click Connect your CRM, or
- In Settings, open Connections, click the Add button, then choose System.
- Click the Allegiance CRM tile.
- Enter your Database Name exactly as it appears in SQL Server.
- Click Save.
- If Avid cannot reach the server, confirm IP whitelisting and that Allegiance granted access.
Avid stores connection credentials securely. If connection tests fail, contact LockStep Support with your database name and the time of the attempt.
What you will see
- After successful authorization, the connection shows under Settings → Connections.
- Initial backfill may take up to 24 hours.
- Avid may contact you about custom column mappings after the first sync.
