Connect FlexFormz to Avid to pull FlexFormz donation transactions into Avid. Avid syncs the data one way, from FlexFormz to Avid, once a day. Use this article if you need to add, reconnect, or update a FlexFormz connection.

  • You need to connect FlexFormz to Avid for the first time.
  • You need to update an existing FlexFormz connection.
  • You want FlexFormz donation transactions to appear in Avid.

Requirement Details
Avid plan Any plan above Benchmarks: Intelligence, Playbooks, Pathways, or Operating System. An active trial of one of those plans also works. If you do not see Connections under Organization Settings, you may be on Benchmarks-only.
Avid permission You need access to edit Connections. If Add System is disabled, your role does not have permission.
FlexFormz access You need a FlexFormz account that can open Plugin & Integrations and create an API key.
Time estimate About 5 minutes once you have the API key.

Keep the API key private. Treat it like a password. Share it only with trusted teammates.

Step 1: Open Connections in Avid

  1. In Avid, open Settings > Organization Settings.
  2. Select Connections.
  3. Stay on the Systems tab.
  4. Click Add System.
  5. In the modal, use Search by Name... and search for FlexFormz.
  6. Select FlexFormz.

Step 2: Copy the FlexFormz API key

  1. Open your FlexFormz dashboard.
  2. Go to Plugin & Integrations.
  3. Generate the API key for Avid.
  4. Copy the key.
  5. Return to Avid and paste it into the field labeled FlexFormz API Key.
  6. Click Save.

After you save, FlexFormz appears in Your Connections. It may show Initializing first, then Active after the first sync completes.

Test and verify

  1. Go back to Settings > Organization Settings > Connections > Systems.
  2. Find the FlexFormz card.
  3. Confirm the status badge changes to Active.
  4. Confirm the card shows the last sync date after the daily run.

Troubleshooting

Verbatim error What it means What to do
Please select a client You did not choose a client before saving. Select the correct client and try again.
You do not have access to update this client Your Avid role cannot edit connections for that client. Ask a teammate with connection access to complete the setup.
The credentials entered was not able to successfully connect to a FlexFormz instance. Please check your entry and try again. Avid could not validate the key against FlexFormz. Re-enter the API key from FlexFormz Dashboard > Plugin & Integrations, then click Save again.
Update an existing connection
  1. Open the FlexFormz card in Settings > Organization Settings > Connections.
  2. Open the actions menu.
  3. Select Update Credentials.
  4. Paste the new FlexFormz API Key.
  5. Click Save.

Known limitations

  1. Avid syncs FlexFormz transactions only.
  2. Avid does not do deep sync for FlexFormz.
  3. Syncs run once a day by default.
  4. If you regenerate the key in FlexFormz, update it in Avid right away.

When to contact support

Contact support if the connection still fails after you re-copy the key or if FlexFormz transactions do not appear after the daily sync.

Include:

  • The exact error message
  • Your Avid client or organization name
  • Your FlexFormz account name
  • Whether you recently regenerated the API key
  • The last successful sync date, if you have one
