This roundup covers Avid updates released after FOS 4.0 through version 4.1.12 on August 5, 2026. Review new capabilities and meaningful fixes across Edna, Pathways, Insights, Playbooks, integrations, and account access.
Ask Edna
New capabilities
-
Create a dashboard from a fundraising question. Ask Edna can create a new presentation-style dashboard after you confirm the request. The analysis runs in the background. A notification and email tell you when it is ready.
-
Prepare a support request from an Edna conversation. Edna can prepare a support request when you ask or when it cannot answer. The support modal uses facts from your conversation. You can review and edit the request before submitting it.
- Move play requests into Playbooks. Requests to build a play now return a deliverable or direct you to Playbooks.
Edna never submits a support request or launches a play for you. You keep the final review and submission decision.
Fixes and improvements
- Requests for Insights capabilities outside your plan now explain the limit and provide an upgrade path.
- Closed fiscal-year questions keep the correct year type and label in filters and generated links.
- Audience requests with inclusion and exclusion periods now return the combined audience.
- Retention answers use the full cohort when the source supports it. Edna explains when an active-donor-only source limits the answer.
- Edna asks whether a giving band is new or existing instead of choosing without confirmation.
- Several metric requests now handle missing year-type inputs and replace internal-error language with clearer responses.

Pathways, files, and integrations
New capabilities
-
Send audiences to Snapchat Ads. Snapchat Ads is now available as a Pathways destination with setup and mapping support.
-
Upload more file types. File uploads now accept
.xlsx,.xls, and.zipfiles alongside existing formats. - Copy setup values faster. Read-only values in Add a System can now be copied in one click.
Fixes and improvements
- Scheduled syncs recovered after the July 31–August 4 interruption. They now continue past a failing connection and report each connection failure separately.
- The Pathways mapping and filter icons no longer show a false Connection issue.
- Pathway result downloads work again. Use Last Failures and Last Successes when a Pathway has a sync run. If no run exists, Avid now shows a notification instead of doing nothing.
- Mailchimp now separates Status For New Subscriber from Status (overwrites existing).
- New Mailchimp contacts default to
subscribedwhen the new-subscriber status field is not mapped. - Existing Mailchimp contact status stays unchanged unless the overwrite field is mapped.
- Mailchimp tag membership was recalculated for affected Pathways audiences.
- GoFundMe Pro setup now creates its source only after you select an organization. It also repairs missing settings.
- Pardot custom objects are visible, row errors no longer mark a sync complete, and prospect rows remain separate.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud now cleans data-extension names before creating them.
- The RaiseDonors setup modal now distinguishes RaiseDonors from Virtuous Raise and links to the correct guidance.

Insights, dashboards, audiences, and data
New capabilities
- See giving-level setup status. Unsaved giving levels show Not configured. Avid treats them as inactive suggestions until your organization saves its values.
Fixes and improvements
- A saved AI-created audience now appears immediately instead of disappearing into the full audience list.
- Unpinning one chart copy no longer removes copies with different filters or copies on other dashboards.
- Dataset views no longer rebuild twice with conflicting mappings. Avid excludes deleted or superseded mappings and duplicate custom fields, then skips rebuilds when nothing changed.
- When Avid temporarily limits requests, a dedicated page explains what happened and provides a refresh link.
See Your Dashboard: Pinning and Personalizing for related dashboard tasks.
Playbooks
New capabilities
-
Import edited Word copy. Use Import Word Doc from Playbook import history to import an edited
.docxfile. - Avid confirms a successful import and identifies skipped assets. It also reports invalid files and failed imports.
Fixes and improvements
- Donation and landing-page body copy keeps its paragraph formatting in the touchpoint builder.
- Reviewing a touchpoint no longer marks it as launched.
- Mailchimp multichannel deployment handling has been improved.
See Deploy Playbook email touchpoints to Mailchimp with the right audience for related setup guidance.
Account, support, and agency access
New capabilities
- Require third-party sign-in. An organization admin can require Google, Microsoft, or Salesforce sign-in for organization users.
-
Open the Help Center without another password. Signed-in Avid users can access the Help Center with their Avid identity.
- Remove agency team members. Agency admins can remove users from the Team list. Removed users can no longer sign in.
Help Center sign-in does not change your existing content or ticket permissions.
Fixes and improvements
- Activity in one Avid browser tab now keeps your shared session active in other tabs.
- Avid now confirms server-side expiry before signing you out.
- The issue-report modal accepts multiple selected or dropped images.
To require third-party sign-in, go to Settings → Organization → Login Security. Enable Require third-party login (Google, Microsoft, or Salesforce), then select Save.
After you save, organization users see Sign in with and the connected providers on the login screen. This policy blocks password sign-in and password reset for organization users. Avid and agency administrators retain their existing sign-in options.
